Spring in Japan

It had actually been a whole decade since I last visited Kyoto, the old capital of Japan, as a school trip in high school. Feels like a long time ago... It IS a long time ago...!
Since I only had a day to explore the city and indulge in the memories of my youth on this viist, I walked about very fast trying to see as much as possible. It was a beautiful day and this was the first sketch I did this day.

Very nice, Sum. I saw Toby today and she said she is coming to Japan (also Korea for a few weeks). She was sad that she wouldn't be around for your visit (is that still happening, btw?)

seeya!

Definately better still be happening!
Beautiful spray of cherry blossoms in this scene. I love that stuff- we can grow it down here, but it dies in VT and NY... there are some beautiful old flowering cherry trees around here, too.

Yeah! You're going to be here tomorrow (in Japan time)! No all we have to do is get Amber's ass up here and we'll be all set.

Lovely. I'm glad you're back in Poultney, at least for a couple of weeks...and glad that you'll be back in the States for school.
