July 17th, 2006 It's been a little more than a week since I got back to Poultney and I amongst most of the people who live on the Main Street have been waking up to the sound of drills, bullodzer, concrete mixer, people shouting at one another everyday. Yes, they are rebuilding the straight and beautiful sidewalk and setting street lamps up along the side of the road. I indeed wish to see the finished look before I leave at the end of the summer.
